BOSTON – With their season on the line, on the fringes of a precarious 1-3 deficit, Steph Curry rose to the ocassion and carried the Golden State Warriors to a gritty 107-97 road Game 4 road victory over the Boston Celtics.

Curry put on a show before a stunned capacity crowd at TD Garden in Boston, firing 43 points on 14 of 26 shooting from the field, including a spectacular 7-of-14 clip from 3-point range.

Thanks to Curry’s heroics, this Finals series is now tied at 2-2 with Golden State regaining homecourt advantage with Game 5 schedule at The Chase Center in San Francisco on Monday (Tuesday AM Philippine time). Game 7, if necessary is on Sunday (Monday AM Philippine time).

“The heart on that man is incredible. The things he does we kind of take for granted from time to time. To go out there and put us on his back, it’s shocking he wasn’t a First Team All-NBA guy, but whatever,” an awed teammate, Klay Thompson told reporters.

Thompson also did his share to deny the Celtics of what would have been a commanding 3-1 lead. Thompson finished with 18 points on the strength of four made triples.

Andrew Wiggins was huge, too, tallying 17 points and 16 rebounds. Jordan Poole chipped in 14.

After Marcus Smart swished a 3-ball to push the Celtics up, 94-90, with 5:18 left to play, it looked like Boston was on its way to the doorstep of the franchise’s record 18th NBA championship. But the Warriors clawed back with a 10-0 run the seal the deal.

Boston star Jayson Tatum had 23 points and 11 rebounds while Jaylen Brown added 21 markers to lead the Celtics. Smart registered  18 points and 5 assists.
