Abu Dhabi, UAE – As the anticipation builds up for the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2025, the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks treated the both local and international media alike to an exclusive look at their preparations. With the games set to take place on October 2 and October 2025 at Etihad Arena, both teams held a media event and open practice session today, showcasing their skills and strategies.

In the morning, the Philadelpia 76ers, led by their charismatic coach Nick Nurse, focused on integrating their new roster additions while fine-tuning their defensive plays. The atmosphere was electric as reps for Sports on Air Rechelle and Balt got a glimpse of the team’s star players Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George, who demonstrated their on-court chemistry through dynamic drills and scrimmages.

What followed next was the New York Knicks in the afternoon who showcased their offensive lineup under the watchful eyes of the media. With a revamped roster, the Knicks are the frontrunner for the Eastern Conference. This unique opportunity to engage with a global audience in Abu Dhabi will help foster the needed chemistry among the blend of young and experienced players.

On a personal note, Jordan Clarkson, the latest addition to the Knicks roster this upcoming season hopes to play anotherqualifiers with national team Gilas Pilipinas for another shot at the FIBA World Cup and hopefully the Olympics soon.

When asked if there will be another Filipino coming to the NBA, Clarkson optimistically replied that “If the game continues to grow, gets more knowledge of the game and continue to spread in the Philippines. You got guys like Dylan Harper coming in and Jalen Green, another Filipino. You know, you just keep it in to continue to add up.”

The NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2025 will not only be a treat for basketball afficionados but also emphasized the growing popularity and international reach of the NBA. Both the 76ers and the Knicks are poised to deliver an unforgettable spectacle, reinforcing the universal appeal and excitement of basketball.
