Mandaue’s Bacon to fight Foley in Sydney Nov. 16

DAVAO CITY–James “Bring Home the” Bacon of Mandaue City, Cebu will fight Darragh Foley of Ireland on Nov. 16 at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

The 29-year-old Bacon (23W-3L-OD, 15KO) has won three times since his comeback this year.

He first retired Richard Betos of Surigao in the 3rd round last Feb. 13 in Maguindanao.

He then knocked out Jovany Rota of Butuan in the 1st round last April 30 in General Santos City, and won a majority decision over Jose Ocampo of Sarangari last Sept. 5 in Polomolok, South Cotabato.

Foley, on the other hand, lost to Tyrone McKenna of the United Kingdom by a unanimous decision last June 21 in Belfast for the vacant WBC International super lightweight title. (PNA)
