The Top 12 finalists of this year’s Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2021 were revealed last Friday. And one of those familiar names in the list is a known national athlete.
Cherry May Regalado, who holds the title of Miss Kalibo Ati-Atihan 2021 is on her quest to get the well-deserved crown of the Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen. She was introduced during a media conference yesterday, among 11 other contestants from different provinces from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Regalado, as one of the strong contenders in the competition, believes that if given the chance to win the crown, she will continue to initiate meaningful projects and advocacies for the betterment of the community in Kalibo despite the ongoing pandemic, including youth empowerment, sports, livelihood and helping the less-fortunate families that are affected by the COVID-19 situation, among others.
Regalado, 26, from Brgy. Pook was crowned as the Miss Kalibo Ati-Atihan last January. Before her reign, she was known as “Silat Princess” of the Philippine Pencak Silat Team who won multiple medals and recognitions overseas including the bronze medal showing in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.
Apart from sports and pageantry, she also interests into motorcycle riding, modeling, acting, spoken poetry and public speaking.
The virtual pageant will take place on October 9.
