STA. ROSA, Laguna — Alab Pilipinas rallied in the fourth quarter to turn back the Singapore Slingers, 90-83, in its first ASEAN Basketball League game at home on Sunday night at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Sports Complex here.
Alab came back from 13 points down midway through the third period by dropping 40 points in the final 10 minutes to steal the win.
Khalif Wyatt scored 20 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter including three straight triples that turned the game around for good to lead Alab, who moved up to 2-1.
Newly signed Sam Deguara added 12 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and one steal in his Alab debut.
Xavier Alexander put up 26 markers, 10 boards, seven dimes, three steals, and two blocks for Singapore, which only made its season debut on Sunday night.
Anthony McClain added 25 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks, while Marcus Elliott came up with 11 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and one steal. (PNA)
