December 7, 2019- A showcase of experience as Sinagpore’s Joseph Schooling bagged the Gold Medal Finish for the Men’s 100M Butterfly at the New Clark City Aquatic Centre, Philippines on Friday for the 30th Southeast Asian Games.
It was a nail bitter finish as Schooling managed to inch his way to the 1st place podium finish in a miracle of .03 seconds putting him over his fellow Singaporean Quah Zheng Wen who settled for Silver.
Schooling clocked in a time of 51.84 seconds while his teammate Wen finished with 51.87 seconds.
The 2016 Rio Olympic Gold Medalist successfully defended his SEA Games Gold Medal for the second straight time in heroic fashion.
Vietnam’s Paul Le Nguyen settled for the Bronze Medal after a hard fought effort with a time of 53.89 seconds.
