December 9, 2019- The Philippines’ Sonny Wagdos rallied to a remarkable Bronze Medal outing for the Men’s Athletic 5000M Category at the New Clark Athletic Stadium, Philippines for the 30th South East Asian Games.
Wagdos finish with a time of 14:34.73 earning him the right to stand at the podium, making his mark for all the Filipino faithful.
The hometown hero did not go down without a fight as it was only a 1.270-second differential separating him from Vietnam’s Silver Medalist Van Nguyen who tallied a time of 14:32.42.
Thailand came up with the coveted Gold Medal award after the impressive showing of Kieran Tuntivate tallying a 14:31.15 time.
