LOS ANGELES — Austin Reaves delivered a huge performance with 35 points in just 25 minutes as the Los Angeles Lakers rallied past the Philadelphia 76ers for a 119–115 victory Thursday night, overcoming the early exit of Luka Doncic due to a leg injury.

LeBron James added 17 points and 10 assists as the Lakers returned from an eight-game road trip with a strong comeback win, snapping Philadelphia’s five-game winning streak. Los Angeles showed resilience in the second half after trailing earlier in the game.

Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 35 points, while Tyrese Maxey recorded 26 points and 13 assists. Philadelphia built a 14-point lead early, but the Lakers surged back and later held a 16-point advantage in the fourth quarter before the game tightened again late.

The Lakers led 110–94 with four minutes remaining, but the 76ers rallied and cut the deficit to three after rookie VJ Edgecombe stole an inbounds pass from James and hit a three-pointer with 36 seconds left. James finished the game with eight turnovers, but Los Angeles managed to hold on in the closing moments.

Maxi Kleber set up Rui Hachimura for a dunk with 12 seconds left to secure the win.

Reaves was highly efficient, shooting 12-of-17 from the field and hitting five three-pointers while playing under a minutes restriction in only his second game back after missing over five weeks with a calf injury.

Doncic, the league’s leading scorer, left late in the first half with left leg soreness and did not return.
