Bowling: S’pore’s New wins women’s masters vs. Malaysia

December 8, 2019 – Singapore’s New Hui Fen is this year’s women’s masters gold medalist in bowling at the Coronado Lanes in StarMall EDSA Mandaluyong.

New defeated Malaysian bet Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman after two sets in the stepladder finals, with the Singaporean enjoying a twice-to-beat advantage.

Abdul Rahman took first set to erase the advantage of new, scoring 259 pinfalls to New’s 257.

It was the least for the Malaysian bet as New redeemed herself and bowled 213 pinfalls, while Abdul Rahman only scored 194.

Shayna Ng Lin Zhi of Singapore took the bronze for Singapore after losing the stepladder semifinal match against Abdul Rahman, 234 to 201.
