DAVAO CITY — Tomjune ‘War Dog’ Mangubat of Bukidnon will face undefeated Jong Seon Kang of Vietnam for the vacant World Boxing Organization Oriental Youth featherweight title on Nov. 3 at District 7 Arena in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The 22-year-old Mangubat has won a unanimous decision over Joffrey Garcia of Albay on July 6.

He lost to Arnel Baconaje of Iloilo via an 8th round TKO for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver featherweight title on April 5.

Mangubat has 11 wins with nine knockouts against one loss and one draw.

Kang, on the other hand, has nine wins with six knockouts against two draws.

The 18-year-old Kang TKO’d Qixiu Zhang of China in the 5th round to win the vacant WBC Youth Intercontinental super featherweight title last June 11 in Xi An, China.

Kang, however, settled for a controversial split draw with Shokhrkh Ashuroy of Uzbekistan last Aug. 25 in China.

The promoter is Sang Bum Kim of Cocky Buffalo Promotion. (PNA)
