SAN JUAN CITY, Philippines–Lea Belgira captured the Philippines’ 24th gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games after ruling the women’s downhill mountain bike race in Laurel, Batangas on Monday.
Belgira dominated the race, eventually finishing it at three minutes and 9.781 seconds to win the gold.
Meanwhile, Tiara Andini Prastika of Indonesia prevailed over Thailand’s Vipavee Deekaballes in a photo finish for the silver.
Prastika clocked in at 3:16.986, barely 0.6 second ahead of Deekaballes, who settled for the bronze after finishing at 3:17.607.
