#HMC2025 Pushes the Conversation Forward in Malaysia’s Hospitality Scene

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The 5th Hospitality Malaysia Conference #HMC2025, a cornerstone of the Hospitality Asia Event Series, welcomed 405 unique attendees in a one-day event at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre in Kuala Lumpur, marking yet another milestone in fostering dialogue, innovation, and collaboration across the region’s hospitality industry.

Building momentum since 2018, the Hospitality Malaysia Conference has served as a key platform for hotel owners, investors, operators, designers, and developers to stay at the forefront of the industry’s opportunities and challenges—offering valuable insights, meaningful connections, and future-focused strategies.

This year’s edition featured 87 esteemed speakers, including Bastien Touzeau, RVP for Development at Hyatt Hotels Corporation; Marvin Alballi, Vice President of F&B APAC at Hilton; Martin Haeger MBE, Director at HL Design; and Joachim Ka-Tsung Lim, Head of Legal Group at IOI Properties Group Berhad. Prominent figures in hotel design, operations, investment, and development also joined them in expertly curated panel sessions throughout the day.

#HMC2025 also co-hosted its first-ever private luncheon, sponsored by Dutch payments provider Adyen, bringing together industry stakeholders for meaningful connections and high-level networking.

Held over the course of a single day, the three concurrent and carefully curated summits offered deep dives into key focus areas of hospitality. The Hotel Investment Summit Malaysia #HISM opened the floor to discussions on untapped markets, fresh investment approaches, branding opportunities, and the evolving challenges of hotel development. 

The Hotel Design Summit Malaysia #HDSM examined how hotel environments can embody cultural identity, respond to climate, and promote wellness through immersive, sustainable, and locally inspired design. Meanwhile, the Hotel Revenue Summit Malaysia #HRSM addressed how hotels can diversify revenue, refine global operations, reimagine retail and F&B experiences, and adopt innovative workforce strategies in today’s competitive talent market.
