Las Vegas – The Detroit Pistons are looking sharp in their first game of the NBA Summer League beating the Portland Trail Blazers, 81-78.
The third overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft Jaden Ivey showed what he can contribute to the Detroit Pistons notching 20 points, six rebounds and six assists. Jalen Duren was only limited to a dozen minutes but had 9 points, two blocks and two alley-oop dunks in his NBA Summer League debut.
Isaiah Stewart flaunted his improved shooting skills dropping two three-pointers in the fourth quarter to help the Pistons secure the win. The third-year big man flirted with a double-double of 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Portland Trail Blazers were led by Keon Johnson providing 21 points while Brandon Williams chipped in with 15. Seventh overall pick Shaedon Sharpe logged in only 5:33 minutes and had to leave with an injury.
