December 6, 2019 – Two Thai judokas emerge victorious in their respective categories in the women’s judo at the LAUS Group Event Center.
Thonthan Satjadet claimed the win in the above 78-kilogram category after Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Nu Y committed a hansokumake, thus expelling her from the match.
Indonesia’s I Weda Ayu Widari and Ryoko Salinas secured the bronze after winning their respective third-place matches.
Thai-Japanese Ikumi Oeda meanwhile secured a half-point against Aye Aye Aung in the under 78-kilogram category.
Vietnam’s Vo Thi Phuong Quynh and Indonesia’s Tiara Garthia won bronze medals after the two secured wins in their third-place matchups.
