Marathon: Philippines’ Hallasgo, Tabal cops gold, silver in women’s event

December 6, 2019 – The Philippines clinches both the gold and silver medals on the women’s marathon event at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium.

Christine Hallasgo went first to the finish line with a time of two hours, 56 minutes and 56 seconds.

Compatriot Mary Joy Tabal took the silver after finishing the course within two hours and 58 minutes.

Tabal, who was Kuala Lumpur’s marathon champion, was stretched by the medical team as she collapsed after finishing the race.

Pham Thi Hong Le completed the podium as the Vietnamese clocked three hours and two minutes to take bronze.
