MANILA – Filipino Francis Casey Alcantara and Thai partner Maximus Jones claimed the men’s doubles title in the second leg of the ITF World Tennis Tour at Walailak University Tennis Center in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand on Saturday.
Alcantara and Jones defeated India’s Rishi Reddy and Dhakshineswar Suresh, 7-6 (7), 6-4, in the final.
It was the second title this year for Alcantara, who also won in Chennai, India with Indonesian Christopher Rungkat in January.
“I am so happy to win a title again. I hope I can keep this momentum going in the next few weeks,” Alcantara said in an online interview Sunday.
He will team up with Jones anew in the third leg scheduled July 14 to 21 in the same venue.
