MANILA, Philippines- It was Vietnam’s Dang Nam who conquered the Still Rings Category leading to a Gold Medal outing. The Philippine’s Carlos Yulo finished with a Silver Medal tying the score of Apifin Dwi of Indonesia who was awarded Bronze last Tuesday (Dec. 4, 2019) for the Men’s Gymnastics Tournament of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

It was a tightly contested battle for the Gold as only a .134 point differential separated the three podium finishers. Nam’s (Vietnam) 13.867 point finish was enough to outlast the closely-knit 13.733 point efforts of both Yulo (Philippines) and Arifin (Indonesia)

Vietnam now has its 23rd Gold Medal after Dang Nam’s 1st place standing.

Carlos Yulo of the Philippines earns the host country Silver Medal number 31 overall while Indonesia’ Apifin Dwi gives them its 18th overall Bronze of the tournament.
