Men’s Shooting: Indonesia, Thailand share gold medals

ecember 2, 2019 – Indonesia and Thailand reigns supreme on the first day of Shooting events at Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City on Monday.

Tirano Baja takes the gold medal for Indonesia after accumulating a total score of 734-28x ahead of Celedonio Tayao of the Philippines and Wahyu Aji Putra of Indonesia.

Baja and Tayao both scored 734 but the Indonesian scored more bull’s eye than the Filipino, prompting Tayao to take silver.

Rio Tjabu and Safrin Sihombing takes a 1-2 finish for Indonesia in the precision pistol competition.

Tjabu earned a total of 1442 points to take the gold, while Sihombing takes 1435 to finish second.

Jantan Hintu of Malaysia finished with the bronze after getting 1432 points.

Napis Tortungpanich of Thailand led all shooters in the 10-meter air rifle category, earning 250.6 points to get the gold medal.

Indonesia’s Fathur Gustafian came it at second with 248.4 while Singapore’s Mohamad Irwan Abdul Rahman completes the podium with 225.9 points.
