Olrando, USA – The Los Angeles Lakers take Game 5, 131-118, against the Portland Trail Blazers with the help of LeBron James’ triple-double and Anthony Davis’ 43 points. Lakers advance to the second round after winning their best-of-seven series, 4-1.
Davis led all scorers with 43 points with 14-of-18 shooting along with nine rebounds, four assists and four triples. LeBron James secured a triple-double with 36 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. The Lakers duo got help from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Dwight Howard combining for 25 points.
Blazers played without Damian Lillard but they and it was C.J. McCullum leading the team with 36 points, seven assists and six boards. Camrelo Anthony capped off the season with 27 points and seven rebounds.
The Lakers now advance to the second round of the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2012 and they now await the winner of the Rockets-Thunder series.
