NBA: James, Davis Combines For 67 Points As Lakers Take Series Lead Over The Blazers

Orlando, Florida – The Los Angeles Lakers surged in the third quarter by scoring 40 points as they rally behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis to prevail over the Portland Trail Blazers, 116-108, and take the series lead at 2-1.

James tallied 38 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and four three-pointers to lead the team while Anthony Davis also posted monster-like numbers with 29 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, three blocks and two steals.

The Lakers got a little push from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Alex Caruso combining for 23 points while Dwight Howard came off the bench with 10 boards.

Meanwhile, the Blazers have a better outing from Damian Lillard who is nursing a busted finger. The flashy point guard had 34 points while C.J. McCollum registered 28. Camelo Anthony also had a notable night with 20 points.

The Blazers have a chance to even up the series against the Lakers in Game 4 and that will happen this Monday, August 24.
