Orlando, Florida – The Los Angeles Lakers bounced back from their Game 1 defeat with a strong output in Game 2 against the Portland Trail Blazers, 111-88, to even up the series at 1-1.
Anthony Davis came out with better numbers and had a double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lakers’ charge. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope followed with 16 points with four three-point field goals.
LeBron James took a step back and let Davis shine as he just had 10 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
Damian Lillard was just held to 18 points with 6-of-14 field goal shooting while C.J. McCollum had 13 points. They were the only Blazer players to score double-digits in this game.
Game 3 will be played this Saturday, August 22 with the Lakers trying to ride the momentum and take the series lead for the first time.
