LOS ANGELES — The 1-2 punch of De’Aaron Fox and Domontas Sabonis proved too much to handle.
Fox scored 33 points with 7 assists and Domantas Sabonis added a triple-double (17 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists) and the Svisiting Kings beat the LA Clippers, 123-107 at the Crypto.com Arena.
Harrison Barnes added 22 and Kevin Huerter pitched in 15 for the Kings, who shot 49.5 percent from the field (45-of-91) and 40.5 percent from three (15-of-37).
Norman Powell led the Clippers with 21 points while Kawhi Leonard and James Harden had 20 apiece. Ivica Zubac added 16 and 6 boards.
“I feel like we’re competing, but we’re just like a step behind. Hopefully we get a rhythm,” Leonard said. “We’re a little flat right now, but we got time to pick it up.”
The Kings, meanwhile, were in awe with the wormanlike effort of Sabonis’ 20th triple-douvble of the season.
“I think people kind of become numb to what he’s doing. Averaging close to a triple-double, that’s a tough thing to do,” Fox said.
