LAS VEGAS — After carding a DNP (Did Not Play) in his Summer League debut against the Detroit Pistons last Sunday, speculation is rampant as to whether Kai Sotto will finally hit the floor tomorrow.

Apparently, nothing is certain when the Orlando Magic tackles the Indiana Pacers.

“We will play it by ear,” Orlando Magic head coach Dylan Murphy told Sports On Air NBA editor Homer Sayson moments after Sunday’s game.

“He will definitely play,” added Murphy. But the priority is to allow the rookies and contracted players to get their minutes first. Sotto is an unrestricted free agent.

Even after the demoralizing DNP, Kai is in “good spirits,” according to Tony Ronzone of Wasserman Sports. “Sotto is ready for “whatever lies ahead.”

As the saying goes, “Another day. Another opportunity.”
