TNT Tropang GIGA advances to the semi-final round after defeating the Converge FiberXers in their quarterfinal bout, 116-95, during the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup in the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Mikey Williams led the team with 26 points along with four three-pointers while shooting an accurate 53% from the field. He got help from Troy Rosario with 19 points and seven boards while Roger Pogoy chipped in with 16 points.
On the other hand, Converge had rookie Tyrus Hill tallying 19 points during the loss while Mike DiGregorio was not far behind with 15 points.
This was the first time that TNT Tropang Giga saw action in the PBA since taking a pause to give way for head coach Chot Reyes to handle Gilas Pilipinas in the FIBA Asia Cup that was held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
