Pencak Silat: Malaysian duo delivers gold in seni ganda

December 5, 2019 – Malaysia secures a gold in the men’s seni ganda (doubles) of pencak silat held at the Subic Bay Exhibit and Convention Center.

Mohd Taqiyuddin Hamid and Sazlan Yuga brought the gold for the Malaysian delegation with 564 points.

Hamid and Yuga bested six other pairs, which included participants from host nation Philippines, Laos, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore.

Filipino brothers Alfau Jan and Almohaidib Abad also tallied 564 points, but only scored silver due to a time deduction.

Lao PDR’s tandem of Khounchaleun Amphonh and Singsouvong Alisack got the bronze medal as they registered 562 points in the process.
