Pencak Silat: Thamkaeo clinches gold for Thailand

December 5, 2019 – Nitinai Thamkaeo claims the gold medal for Thailand in the finals of Tanding Class A event of pencak silat inside Subic Bay Exhibit and Convention Center on Thursday.

The Thai contender finished off Indonesian opponent Khoirudin Mustakim with a 3-0 display to claim the top of the podium.

Lao PRD’s Simphilavong Thanaphonh and Muhammad Khairi Adie Azhar shared the bronze medal podium in the event after reaching the semis.

Thanaphonh loses to eventual gold medalist Thamkaeo in the first semifinal with a 5-0 beating.

Azhar meanwhile suffered a 4-1 defeat to Mustakim, prompting him to take bronze.
