As the current challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic being faced, the Philippine Taekwondo Team is keeping pace with their updated training methods by using modern technology while staying at their homes despite the different quarantine statuses being imposed in their provinces.

In fact, the Poomsae bets are not just doing their usual online training, but they are preparing and ready to compete in online competitions to keep them active and enjoyable while they are ready for their next face-to-face tournaments internationally in time of the pandemic.

Following the successful CPJ and Asian Open, The Philippine Taekwondo Association will play again as the host the 2021 Smart / MVP Sports Foundation Global Taekwondo Online Championships, which is divided into two parts: the Recognized Poomsae event on September 18-19 and the Speed Kicking event on September 25-26. The event will be opened for color belts and black belts.

Expected a thousand taekwondo jins from across the globe, including members of the Philippine Taekwondo Team will be participating in the international event.

“All the national team members will be joining, it will be headed by Rodolfo Reyes, Jr., and Jocel Lyn Ninobla and other members na laging sumasali like sina Rico, Rinna, Patrick and many others, not only the Poomsae National Team, but also the Kyorugi national team is also joining because meron tayong speed kicking.”, PH Poomsae Team head coach Rani Ann Ortega tells Radyo Pilipinas 2.
