Benjamin Sinanaj, the owner of Benjamin Steakhouse, began his career at one of New York’s most iconic and historic steakhouses. Building on the expertise and spirit of hospitality he cultivated there, he opened the first Benjamin Steakhouse in New York City in 2006. The debut restaurant quickly gained acclaim within the city’s competitive dining scene, drawing attention from steak lovers and culinary enthusiasts alike.
In 2010, the brand expanded with a second location in the suburbs of New York. Two years later, in 2012, the group launched The Sea Fire Grill, a concept that combined the rich flavors of steak and seafood, showcasing the Benjamin Group’s evolution beyond the traditional steakhouse model.
In 2016, the group opened Benjamin Steakhouse Prime, a modern take on the classic steakhouse, attracting a new generation of diners and further expanding its loyal fan base.
Building on its success in New York, the Benjamin Group made its first international debut in June 2017 with the opening of its location in Roppongi, Tokyo. The restaurant quickly established a strong presence in one of the world’s top gourmet capitals. In December 2018, Benjamin expanded to Kyoto, followed by a new location in Tokyo’s Kioicho district in 2022. Most recently, the brand opened in Osaka in 2024, further solidifying its reputation as a globally loved steakhouse favored by celebrities and discerning diners alike.
Benjamin Steakhouse serves only the highest-grade USDA Prime beef—certified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture—and further hand-selects each cut for excellence. The beef is then aged for a minimum of 28 days using a proprietary dry-aging method developed by Benjamin Steakhouse’s Steak Master and Executive Chef, Arturo McLeod, in the restaurant’s own aging facilities. Under the direct guidance of Chef McLeod, Japanese chefs have mastered the signature Benjamin Steakhouse cooking techniques and take great pride in preparing each steak to perfectly match the preferences of every guest.
