Tennis: Ly Nam dominates against fellow Vietnamese to seal Gold Medal in Men’s Singles

December 6, 2019- It was the battle of two fellow Vietnamese as Ly Hoang Nam took on Daniel Nguyen for the pride of being the Gold Medal finisher for his country in the Men’s Singles category of Tennis. With all said and done, it was Nam dominating Nguyen breezing his way to a clean 2 set victory, Friday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium for 30th South East Asian Games.

The first set featured Ly Nam drawing first blood, 6-2 over Nguyen.

Now with his back against the wall, Nguyen was able to stay in par with Nam yet was unable to close out a tiebreaker as Ly Nam pulled away, 6-4, sealing his Gold Medal for Vietnam.

Alberto Lim Jr. of the Philippines was awarded Bronze after losing a hard fought battle against Vietnam’s Ly Nam, 2-0.
