CHICAGO — Brian Jereza, the manager of the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) traveled 7,200 miles from Cebu City to Corona, California for some higher learning in basketball.

His destination?

The Jordan Clarkson Elite Camp that was held last July 7 and 8 at the Draft Sports Complex where over 200 kids, whose age bracket ranged from 5th graders to 8th graders, attended.

“It was a great experience and I hope to impart some of the knowledge I acquired to our players at USP,” Jereza told Sports On Air.

Jereza, whose family owns USP, one of the finest and established universities in the entire Visayas, was also impressed with the Utah Jazz star and former Sixth Man of the Year winner.

“Jordan was really nice and he was hands-on in conducting the camp. He was also gracious in signing memorabilia and taking selfies with the participants and their parents,” Jereza added.

After a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Jordan Clarkson Elite Camp is back and the organizers look forward to hosting the event again next year.
