The quest for inaugural Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup supremacy seems to be off to a good start for the MJAS Zenith Talisay City Aquastars.

In the historical season opener, Talisay City imposed their offensive firepower and tremendous defensive prowess to establish a 104-66 demolition against the Tubigon Bohol Mariners in the Visayas Leg opener inside the Alcantara Civic Center in Cebu today.

Talisay City was consistent on the floor, shooting 50 percent field goals the the whole game enclosed with 55 rebounds and 29 assists. On the defensive end, a total of nine steals and seven blocks were etched up to clamp down the struggling and rusty Tubigon side.

Talisay City swingman Patrick Cabahug posted 22 markers on an efficient 56 percent shooting, while guard Jan Niccolo Jamon had 14 points and six rebounds en route to the dominant claim of their team.

Narciso Llagas finished the game with 19 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Mariners, but this was insufficient against the overpowering plays of the Aquastars.
