December 8, 2019 – The Philippines end the waterski competitions on a high note at the DECA Wakeboard Park in Pampanga.
The Philippines claimed the first and third places in men’s wakeskate category, sandwiching a Thai in second place.
Jhondi Wallace tallied a 70.33-point performance in his second and best run to get the gold, while Christian Michel Joson ended at third with a 64.33-point second run.
Polapat Romchatngoen bagged silver with 67.00 points in his tally.
Susan Larsson get the second gold, this time in the women’s wakeskate event ahead of Thailand and Singapore.
The Philippine represenative skim her way to the podium with a 61.5 performance, beating five other rivals.
Thip Penpayap of Thailand both scored 50 in his two rounds, good for second place.
Rizwan Nur Alysha Mohamad climbed thorugh the bronze medal, enjoying a much better 39.33-point play against his first which only got 4.33.
Mohamad also denied another Filipino a medal win, as Maria Christina Rau scoing three points less that the Malaysian.
