Women’s Wushu: Philippines take gold in taolu taijijian; Vietnam, Brunei completes podium

December 3, 2019 – The Philippines, Vietnam, and Brunei Darussalam excels in the women’s taolu taijijian category on the third day of wushu events at the World Trade Center.

Agatha Chrystenzen Wong delivers the gold medal for the Philippines after earning a score of 9.65, beating eight other athletes.

Tran Thi Minh Huyen of Vietnam placed second with 9.63 points, only 0.02 points behind Wong.

Basma Lachkar added another bronze medal in Brunei’s medal tally after finishing third with 9.62 points.

Two more gold medals will be at stake in the women’s category, with the 48-kilogram and 65-kilogram sanda events to be contested.
