INDIANA– Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant dislike each other so much they couldn’t wait to fight on schedule.

Cursed words were said. Some shoving ensured. And then the blows followed.
At the end of the bried, contentious fracas, Plant sustained a small cut under his left eye. Nothing serious to require abruot medical attention or, God forbid, a fight cancellation, but the harm was definitely enough to carry nad blood atop the ring on fight night.
“He landed first,” Alvarez told reporters. “I responded quickly, I don’t know how. I just do it.” The red-haired Mexican legend apprarently didn’t like being labeled as somenone that rhymes with “mother trucker.”
There was already rapid interest on this championship duel and the melee that occured in in the outskirts of Los Angeles, California is expected to ramp up Showtime pay-per-view sales.
Canelo, universally acknowledged as the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter right now, packs an impressive 56-1 record with 38 KOs. He will stake his WBC, WBO and WBA belts.
Plant, a Las Vegas native, on the other hand will put his IBF crown on the line. The American from Nevada by way of Tennessee is no pushover and holds an undefeated slate of 21-0 with 12 stoppages.
This grudge match should spice up some cold November days in boxing.
