Three designers. Three opening walks. And one young idol who is quietly becoming a familiar face at the front of Vietnam’s fashion runways.

At Vietnam Wedding Week 2026, Dylan of UPRIZE stepped out as the first face for Luu Viet Anh’s FALVAON presentation, VÀNG ẢNH VÀNG ANH. It was a brief moment in the spotlight, but not an isolated one. Before Luu Viet Anh, Dylan had already opened shows for Chung Thanh Phong and Tran Hung. Three first-face moments later, the pattern is becoming difficult to ignore.

For a performer best known for the stage, music and the world of idol entertainment, the runway is opening up a different kind of spotlight. There is no microphone. No choreography to hide behind. Just the music, the lights and the first few seconds in which everyone in the room decides to look.

At Vietnam Wedding Week 2026, Dylan did more than make a celebrity appearance. He became the first image through which the audience entered one of the event’s most story-driven collections.

THREE DESIGNERS. THREE FIRST FACES. ONE RISING RUNWAY STORY.

Chung Thanh Phong. Tran Hung. Luu Viet Anh.

The three names belong to different corners of Vietnamese fashion, but they share one recent connection: Dylan was chosen to walk first.

That matters because the first face is not simply the person who happens to leave backstage before everyone else. The opening walk sets the temperature of a show. It gives the audience its first clue about the mood, the attitude and the world they are about to enter.

For an idol making his way into fashion, that kind of position says more than a guest appearance ever could. Familiarity may get people talking, but a first-face moment asks for something else: presence.

And Dylan appears to be building a reputation for exactly that.

WHEN THE IDOL PUTS DOWN THE MICROPHONE

On stage, Dylan already knows how to perform. As a member of UPRIZE, he works in a world built on music, movement, camera awareness and audience connection. An idol learns how to hold attention even when there is a lot happening around him.

The runway strips much of that away.

There is no chorus to carry the moment. No dance break. No chance to explain who you are. A walk has to do the work. The pace, the posture, the expression and the way a performer enters the light become the entire message.

Perhaps that is why the transition from idol stage to fashion runway feels less surprising than it first appears. Both worlds demand control of presence. They simply speak different languages.

For Dylan, fashion is beginning to look like a second stage.

THE NIGHT HE OPENED LUU VIET ANH’S STORY

That second stage took on a particularly cinematic quality at Vietnam Wedding Week 2026.

For FALVAON designer Luu Viet Anh, VÀNG ẢNH VÀNG ANH drew inspiration from the emotional world of Tam Cam, one of Vietnam’s most familiar folk tales. The collection brought cultural memory into a contemporary fashion setting, turning the runway into more than a sequence of bridal looks.

It needed an opening.

Dylan was the one who gave it to the audience.

As the first face, he became the first movement in the show’s visual story. Before the audience encountered the full world of gowns, details and references that followed, they encountered him.

It was a different kind of performance from the idol stage, but it was still performance: one entrance, one look, one moment to make the audience curious about what comes next.

A BRIDAL COLLECTION, A VIETNAMESE FOLK TALE AND ONE MALE LEAD

What made Dylan’s appearance even more distinctive was his place inside the story.

VÀNG ẢNH VÀNG ANH entered Vietnam Wedding Week as a bridal fashion presentation, yet Dylan’s appearance introduced a male presence into its narrative world. Rather than feeling like a random celebrity cameo, his walk gave the show another character and another point of view.

That is where the entertainment element becomes interesting. Dylan was not asked to sing. He was not there for a special performance. His role was quieter than that, but perhaps more unusual: to help set the scene.

In a collection inspired by story, the first face became part of the storytelling.

And for an idol whose public identity is already built around performance, the crossover made sense.

MORE THAN A CELEBRITY WALK

Fashion loves a famous face. It creates buzz, photographs well and gives audiences another reason to watch. But there is a difference between inviting a celebrity onto a runway and giving someone a real place in the rhythm of a show.

Dylan’s growing list of first-face appearances is what makes his fashion story more interesting than a one-off moment. The same position has appeared again and again, across designers with different aesthetics and different creative worlds.

That does not make him a full-time model, nor does it need to. The appeal may lie precisely in the fact that he brings something different to the runway.

He arrives with the instinct of a performer.

The fashion world gets the confidence, timing and visual awareness of an idol. The entertainment world gets another side of Dylan to watch.

INSIDE THE LOVE CITY

Vietnam Wedding Week 2026 provided the perfect setting for that crossover. Developed through the collaboration of YEAH1 and LIVEN Technology, the event transformed White Palace Hoang Van Thu into The Love City – a shared destination where bridal fashion, wedding brands, experts, vendors and experiences came together.

Across two days, seven designers and brands presented different visions of contemporary wedding fashion. There was couture drama, refined romance, cultural storytelling, sensuality and modern menswear. The runway was not built around one idea of what a bride or groom should be.

Dylan’s appearance added another layer to that mix.

He arrived from the world of contemporary entertainment and stepped directly into a designer’s fashion narrative. It was exactly the kind of collision that makes an event like The Love City feel larger than a conventional bridal showcase.

WHEN FASHION MEETS THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT MOVE

Some runway stories end when the lights go down. Others travel further – through media, audiences, creative communities and the conversations that follow a show.

As Promotional Partners of Vietnam Wedding Week 2026, Italian Atelier Asia-Pacific and CjC Marketing Agency supported the wider communication and industry outreach surrounding the event, connecting its fashion and lifestyle stories with broader creative and professional networks.

For CjC Marketing Agency and Italian Atelier Asia-Pacific, the Dylan and Luu Viet Anh crossover is also a reminder of what makes creative platforms valuable. A fashion event can bring together people who might not normally share the same stage: a designer and an idol, a bridal collection and a folk tale, a runway audience and an entertainment following.

Sometimes the most interesting stories begin exactly where those worlds overlap.

SO, IS DYLAN A SINGER, AN IDOL OR A FASHION FACE?

Maybe that is the wrong question.

Dylan does not have to stop being one thing in order to become another. The more interesting story is that his identity appears to be expanding.

Three first-face appearances are still only the beginning of a fashion journey. But beginnings are worth paying attention to – especially when three different designers have trusted the same performer to take the first step.

From Chung Thanh Phong and Tran Hung to Luu Viet Anh’s VÀNG ẢNH VÀNG ANH at Vietnam Wedding Week 2026, Dylan is beginning to build a runway story of his own.

He may have arrived from the idol stage.

But if these first walks are anything to go by, his fashion moment is only just getting started.
