Ifugao’s Natuplag to fight in Japan on Nov. 2

DAVAO CITY — Super featherweight KJ ‘The Ipugo’ Natuplag of Ifugao will fight Mikito Nakano of Japan on Nov. 2 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

The 22-year-old Natuplag tasted his first loss from Joe Tejones of Bukidnon by a split decision last June 16 in this city.

It was a heartbreaking loss after eight consecutive wins with seven knockouts and two draws.

Natuplag’s last victory was a technical knockout in the 5th round against Robert Udtohan of Davao del Norte in Angono, Rizal last March 8.

Nakano, on the other hand, has three wins with three knockouts.

The 24-year-old Nakano scored a 2nd round knockout over Arvin Yurong of Paranaque City at Korakuen Hall last July 6.

The boxing event is promoted by Akihiko Honda of Teiken Promotions. (PNA)
