Men’s Gymnastics: Gold Medal finish for the Philippines in Floor Exercise

MANILA, Philippines- Focus, grit, and class, the three main highlights of the podium finishers for the Floor Exercise of the Men’s Gymnastics Tournament of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. The Philippine’s hometown hero Carlos Yulo earned the right to the coveted Gold Medal. While Surintornta Tikumporn (Silver Medal, Thailand) and Mat Asri Zul Bahri (Bronze Medal, Malaysia) joined Yulo on the podium at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Wednesday (Dec. 4, 2019).

Yulo finished with 14.700 points while Surintornta Tikumporn (Silver Medal, Thailand) and Mat Asri Zul Bahri (Bronze Medal, Malaysia) followed with points of 13.833 for the former and 13.767 for the latter.

Tikumporn’s Second place outing gives Thailand its 13th Overall Silver Medal in the SEA Games tournament.

Malaysia racks up its 14th Bronze Medal with Bahri finishing at third for the Floor Exercise.

The Philippines, propelled by Yulo’s 1st Place completion, earns Gold Medal number 48 overall.
