December 8, 2019 – The Philippines and Indonesia surf their way to a gold medal finish in the final day of surfing competitions at La Union.
Nilbie Blancada scored a 7.65 in her two surfs, bannered by a strong 5.5-point first score in the shortboard competition.
Annissa Tita Flynn of Thailand secured the silver medal with 6.35 points.
Dhea Novitasari meanwhile grabbed the gold medal in the longboard against Jevy Mae Agudo of the Philippines.
Novitasari scored 8.20 points, capped by a 3.45 second score, compared to 5.25-point total score for Agudo.
