Given the fierce competition and the sheer number of hoopers across the country, getting accepted to an elite program is like scaling Mt. Everest.

But with one determined step after another, siblings Tyler and Tiffany Reyes are making strides in their respective basketball journeys in the US.

Tyler, a 6-foot-8, 220-lb skyscraper, has just been admitted to the prestigious Perkiomen School in the basketball hotbed of Pennsylvania.

The 17-year-old Tyler is turning heads and has a decent shot — assuming he continues to progress and maintain the hard work he puts in — at landing a spot at a robust college basketball program.

Tiffany, on the other hand, is headed to Blair Academy, which produced Olivia Miles, the No.2 overall pick of the 2026 NBA Draft.

The 6-foot-1 Tiffany, only 15 years young, had already starred at previous Gilas campaigns and is set to suit up for the nationals in a U-18 event in Bacolod this month.

Tyler and Tiffany are the children of former TNT player Jay-R Reyes and former UP Fighting Maroons volleyball player Jen Ablan.

The family moved to the US two years ago.
