Tennis: Indonesia’s Aldila Sutjiadi bags Gold in Women’s Singles event

December 6, 2019- Indonesia’s Aldila Sutjiadi came out victorious after sweeping both sets against Savanna Ly Nguyen of Vietnam to bag the Gold Medal Podium finish for the Women’s Singles event of Tennis for 30th South East Asian Games at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Friday.

Sutjiadi came out with a dominant first set over Nguyen, 6-0, showing why she was the heavy favorite entering the Final.

However, Vietnam’s Savanna Nguyen relentlessly fought back in the second outing. Yet, Aldile Sutijadi was able to mount Nguyen’s charge after a closely contested second set, 7-5, leading to Indonesia’s Sutijadi bringing home the Gold.

Thailand’s Anchisa Chanta was awarded with the Bronze Medal to cap off the Women’s Singles Event.
