Women’s shooting: Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia ends up in podium

December 4, 2019 – The Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia shared the podium in both the individual and team events of women’s precision pistol competition at Marine Corps Training Center.

Marly Martir, a navy lieutenant commander in her native Philippines, get the gold medal beating 11 other contingents.

Martir tallied a total score of 1,450 points, good for a first place finish in the event.

Pratiwi Kartikasari of Indonesia ranked second after tallying 1,445 points with 62 times hitting the bull.

Malaysian sharpshooter Yusliana Mohd Yusof came in at third with 1,441 points.

The Philippines scored another gold in the team event of precision pistol competition.

Martir, Franchette Shayne Quiroz, and Elvie Baldivino teamed up to put 4,320 points en route to a first place finish.

Indonesia finished with the silver after tallying a total of 4,313 points, while Malaysia settled at the third spot with 4,279 points.
